You Left Me

You left me here to hold the bag
To man the ship
To fly the flag

You left me with those things undone
With lies to keep
With life to run

You left me with your bills to pay
And tears to cry
No words to say

How much it hurt, you leaving me
To be set right
To be set free

You left me with a whole new life
A world of doubt
No lack of strife

You left me with no one to blame
I can’t explain
I can’t complain

You left me here, alone, you see
With no one left
To care but me
