Time and Time Again...

It sees me
But only focuses on itself
Selfless deeds are far outweighed
By fleeting pleasures of the flesh

Think, Look, Listen
Assert yourself
Become an Independent Woman
But don't forget to remain
As always
That quiet little girl

My requirements are few
Yet, I give my heart and soul
To one who accuses beyond reproach
Swinging blindly, in the dark
At things that are not there
To put my unconditional love
To the test
Time and time again

Things you want
You don't give to others
So, how can you expect
To be worthy in return?
And why should I
Believe a word you say?

The drama in your life
Is created so that you can Feel
Nothing else in this world
Could possibly bring you pleasure
