Sleepers Twilight

On wispy evening breeze
The call of the night bird echoes
Lonely is his cry

Within him lies solitary rebellion
Keeper of the night
He shifts within dreams
And Softly Speaks

Not without longing is it
His scream
As he drops towards valley floor,
Talons set on blood

Once belly full
He returns to the tree
To speak of happier days
Spent dreaming
And friendly nights
Spent living

Come to me, Sweetness
And whisper your dreams
So that I may know of life
And learn to love
The living of it
