Fearless Wonder

I've seen him in his slender beauty

Flowing and fearless

He knows no enemies

Looking only for warmth.

My fascination with him
Some might think unhealthy

But it does not matter to me

This love, I'll always shelter.

One day I hope to take him in
I'll treat him with respect

He knows I understand him

When he flicks his tongue in awe.

And he and I will sit and wonder
Why they try to understand us

And in the end

We'll be left alone

Perfect, free companions.
