5 Ds
(Donny, Donald, Don, Daddy, Dad)

When he left me one August
Left all that he had.

An artist, a drifter

He often seemed sad.

Oh how my heart aches

To think

He was finally glad.

Donny, Donald, Don, Daddy, Dad

He was in my head always
In my head I was mad.

My body was twisted

My mind was a tad

Bit rocky.   I noticed

I would live out my days

And make

My evenings into a fad

Donny, Donald, Don, Daddy, Dad

But in the end
Here I am.

I guess all I can say

Is He lit a spark

That will burn bright…. One Day.
