JOURNEY |
I have been on my pagan path since
the summer of 1995. It was not something I had planned
on, and in fact, it took me over a year to figure
out that what I was doing was considered Witchcraft.
It came from what was left of me after I had been
shattered; stripped down to the core, and left searching
for pieces that I might use to create a new whole.
For I could never go back the way I came.
It
came to me as a force outside of myself. It was primal,
instinctual, ineffable. It came to me in ritual, and
revealed its beauty and simplicity immediately.
It
is Paganism; it is based in nature, and it transcends
time.
It
is Witchcraft, in honor of those who came before me,
who knew the power between me, a rock, a tree, the
earth, the sky. Because of this, I believe in the
Powers of Magick.
I
was raised in a non-practicing environment, as a child.
At some point, I discovered that what I believed had
a name; Agnostic, meaning, I could see no way of proving,
beyond a reasonable doubt, that "God" existed. I believed
in the power of the Universe, and found truth in the
cycles that toss our life forms into being.
When
I discovered that I was practicing Witchcraft, I was
shocked. Between the media and a few run-in's with
highly fundamentalist, organized religions who spoke
of condemnation and tolerated little questioning,
I was taught that Witches were evil devil worshippers.
The fact is, that couldn't be further from the truth.
Yet the media, for the most part, still portrays us
as such. This is proof that an unrealistic stereotype
of Witchcraft, and all Pagan or Earth-based religions
is still alive in the new millennium. But Times Are
Changing!
The
intent in writing this is to create dialogue.
Below, you will find links to many seekers, like myself,
of all ages, genders, and races, who have chosen to
share their journey.
Brightest Blessings Along the Path!

| WHAT
I BELIEVE |
I believe that "God" is not one thing, but all things.
I refer to these things as "Goddess", "God",
"Spirit", or "Energy"
depending
on what they feel to me to be.
I worship many different elements of a spiritual
nature, from and eclectic and ever undecided pantheon.
I am drawn to Celtic Witchcraft and Druidry because
it is an ancient reminder of my heritage. I am,
however, also drawn to Nordic, Mayan & Egyptian
pantheons, as well as Buddhism & Taoism. I greatly
admire and respect the spiritual nature of the Native
peoples of the Americas and Pacific Islands.
Above
all, I honor anything spiritual in nature, and do
not try to close myself off from the spirit. I have
felt power and magick generated in my circle in
my front yard, just as I have felt it generated
within the walls of a church. And because of this
I respect all beliefs, because it is all ultimately
the same, as long is it is grounded in love. My
practices, are thus, very eclectic and personal
as well.
You
will not find my "Book of Shadows" here, as I believe,
at this time in my life at least, that those handwritten
pages are my developing self, and are not ready,
willing, or able to be seen at this time. I have
chosen, to keep this part of my journey, between
me, page, and pen; I am still learning, growing,
and seeking. However, I may choose to share some
of the things I discover along the way.
The one thing I will not do here is preach, and
likewise, I would ask that you extend the same courtesy.
I
worship the spirit that encompasses the life that
surrounds me, and the life that we are yet unaware.
I am touched by the "Sun God" daily, and in turn,
am in touch with his mistress, the "Moon Goddess"
whose shape is ever shifting. Their cycles offer
the ebb and flow that makes our planet unique in
our solar system. Their turning dominates our lives
and gives us direction, sustenance & life.
I honor earth, air, fire, and water, in their ever-changing
forms. And everything that is touched by, or made
of these elements, is in turn, a sacred spirit.
I Celebrate the Spirit! Love, Knowledge, Wisdom,
Truth, & Power!
I am a Second Degree Reiki Student and an Intuitive
Tarot Reader. I am also a scholar of Art, Humanities,
Healing, Language, & Symbols.
I
believe in divination.
I believe in dreams.
I believe in visions.
I believe that they are me and I am everywhere.
