September's
Smokey Evening Sun
Meanwhile, 4 Miles North...
"Extremely
steep, inaccessible terrain is making progress very slow.
The Canoe Fire is still very active. Resources are focusing
on this incident. A precautionary evacuation advisory
is in effect for the residents of Salmon Creek, the Mill
Creek drainage, Sommerville Road, and all residents north
and west of the Salmon Creek Road/Thomas Road intersection.
The hot dry conditions significantly increased fire intensity
on the Honeydew Fire causing the fire to burn actively
and create two separate extensions over the eastern containment
line, reducing containment to 90%." September
